Rick saw only pitch blackness below. He'd always been a little afraid of the dark, ever since his cousin Morty locked him in a refrigerator when he was five, but would never admit that to the girls. Wanting to just give up and say "Sorry folks, this option is not available," he was saved from that choice by an odd but timely interruption.

"Just a moment, I think I hear something -- behind us. Why don't we"

  1. Forget about it and look in the cellar again...
  2. Turn around and check it out...
